Now I do wonder if you pick out a movie IF everyone is even able to watch it, due to which streaming platform you pick the movies from... or DVD, i dunno. I'm cool with whatever, I got my ways but well...

Thank you Iris - and haha! I literally had my early night in mind when I was working out the best time!! Lol. And yes, I've considered how best we all access the chosen movies so will share more details about that in Tuesdays announcement post :) I'm so glad you're loving the colours too. I actually hit on the red/orangey one by total accident and then, and then.... it stuck! Have a gorgeous weekend too <3
SO many synchronicities!!! I love bathing in your words and thoughts - I feel so aligned with what you are saying. I'm also experimenting with long-form/short-form (who even determines what that is?!?!) and what is right for my over-achieving/over-committing tendencies vs my wellbeing,. I keep reminding myself what took me to this place, and and the joy I get from the engagement of the community on here who don't have the expectations on me that I set upon myself. I also have a draft post about colour which will come out soon - I did a random colour psychology course just for fun a while ago, and it was absolutely fascinating!
Fabulous news about the film club - the 10 Sep is firmly in my diary, and I cannot wait to see what the film is, and also chat about it as we go!! Very exciting x
Oh, Emma! That's so kind. Yey! Love that we're in sync with all the syncs too. So en pointe about the expectations that we put on ourselves. Working on a piece about that very thing in the background on here myself - of course!! And would love to hear more about colour psychology! Yes, please. I’m intrigued to see what the film will be - much as I love film, this isn’t my world at all from a professional perspective, so this is just a totally open exploration for me - visceral and true 💕

I think creativity inherently demands our courage so it's always a little scary, you know. I hear you on the visceral response though. Oof. Have you read Liz Gilbert's BIG MAGIC at all? It explores that relationship in depth and is a really beautiful book, I recommend it to absolutely everyone. It's inspired a lot of my posts, including this one I suppose. I get a huge amount out of writing about the meta exploration of the creative process which that book is a master study in.
The image wasn't a clue I'm afraid - haha! I'm guessing you're thinking of Little Miss Sunshine but hell let's get that on the list as a possibility for future club nights and put it out to the group! Fantastic movie. X
